Safeguarding & Governance
Creating safe, transparent, and trauma-informed spaces for healing and recovery.
Our Commitment to Safety
At Soteria Trauma & Recovery CIC, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to creating environments where clients, staff, and volunteers feel safe, respected, and protected from harm.
Our approach is proactive and trauma-informed — ensuring that safety, dignity, and confidentiality are upheld in every aspect of our work.
We believe that every person deserves to access support without fear, and that safeguarding is a shared responsibility across our whole organisation
Safeguarding Standards & Practice
We follow national safeguarding legislation and best-practice guidance, including:
The Care Act (2014)
The Children Act (1989, 2004)

Our safeguarding practices also align with regional frameworks and multi-agency guidance in the South West of England, in line with the North Somerset Safeguarding Adults Board and local authority procedures.
